My short story “Executive Order: Jerome County, Idaho” is featured in the 2019 Clackamas Literary Review, Volume XXIII.
When submitting this as a “possibility” piece to CLR, I noted that, although fiction, the stories are based on real women whose lives were forever changed due to presidential executive orders over the past century. The first woman featured in the piece is my paternal grandmother.
I’ll be reading from my short story at a launch event for this year’s CLR at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, Oregon, on May 29. To order a copy of the 2019 CLR, please visit the CLR website.
